ABOUT ME
Hello, I’m Tayina. I’m a Haitian-American psychotherapist deeply committed to helping you navigate the layers of your emotional lives and relationships. My work is rooted in depth psychology, which focuses on exploring the unconscious and finding meaning in life’s challenges. I believe therapy is a collaborative process where we create a space for your voice, your struggles, and your growth to be fully seen and honored.
Growing up as a Haitian-American, I’ve learned the power of resilience, but I’ve also witnessed how cultural and systemic forces can shape our identities and experiences in profound ways. These insights inform my work, allowing me to meet you where you are with empathy, curiosity, and cultural attunement.
My background in couples therapy helps me work with individuals and partners navigating complex dynamics, including trust, communication, and the impact of personal histories. I know relationships can often serve as mirrors, reflecting both the beauty and the unresolved wounds within us. Whether you’re seeking clarity in your relationship, healing from betrayal, or struggling to feel heard, I aim to help you create more connection and balance in your life.
Outside of the therapy room, I’m someone who values depth and reflection in all forms, whether that’s through storytelling, connection with my family roots, or a walk along Northern California’s coastal trails. My journey—both personal and professional—has been shaped by the belief that while healing isn’t linear, it’s always possible, especially when we allow ourselves to move toward what feels most authentic and true.
I believe in creating a safe and inclusive space where you can explore your truth, find refuge, and embark on a transformative path towards healing.
